Hi, I’m Erika—your planner behind the adventures.

I’m the kind of person who gets excited about beautiful views, historic streets, and mapping out the perfect itinerary… but also someone who works a full-time job and squeezes travel into weekends and PTO days whenever I can.

I’ve always loved exploring—whether that’s wandering through charming small towns in Minnesota or standing in front of incredible landmarks halfway across the world. There’s just something about discovering new places (and the stories behind them) that keeps me coming back for more.

For a long time, I told myself I’d start a travel blog “someday.” But like a lot of things, someday kept getting pushed further and further away. Now, I’ve finally built up the courage to go for it—and I’m in a place where I’m prioritizing travel and making those experiences actually happen.

What You’ll Find Here

This blog is all about realistic travel for real life.

I’m not a luxury traveler, and I’m not backpacking on $20 a day either. My style falls somewhere in the middle—thoughtful, well-planned trips that make the most of your time and budget.

You’ll find:

  • Weekend trips around Central Minnesota (especially near St. Cloud)
  • Midwest and U.S. getaways
  • International adventures when I can take the time off
  • Detailed itineraries (because I love planning)
  • Tips to make travel feel less overwhelming and more doable

Why I Created This Blog

Travel is amazing—but let’s be honest, it can also be stressful.

Between planning, budgeting, and figuring out what’s actually worth doing, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed before you even leave home. Add in a little travel anxiety (something I personally deal with), and it can feel like a lot.

That’s why I created this space.

I want to help you:

  • Feel more confident planning your trips
  • Spend less time stressing and more time enjoying
  • Have clear, realistic itineraries you can actually follow

Think of this blog as your go-to resource for “big and little adventures” that fit into real life.

A Little Personal Note

The hardest part about traveling? Leaving my dog, Louie, behind.

If I could bring him everywhere, I absolutely would. But for now, he’s my reason to come home—and probably the one I miss the most while I’m away.

Let’s Explore Together

Whether you’re planning a quick weekend getaway or your next big international trip, I’m so glad you’re here.

Because adventure doesn’t have to be far, expensive, or complicated—it just has to start.
